Depression lives in the past, anxiety lives in the future, but healing happens in the present. We are here to help you find your way back to now.
"Anxiety is the dizziness of freedom; the intense fear of what *might* happen in the future."
"It is the body's internal alarm system stuck in the 'on' position, flooding the system with adrenaline."
"A persistent, uncontrollable loop of 'what-ifs' and catastrophic thinking that distorts reality."
Imagine waking up wearing a vest made of lead—that is the weight of depression. It makes getting out of bed feel like climbing a mountain.
Now, imagine that while you are carrying this weight, a swarm of bees is buzzing around your head, whispering worries about everything you haven't done. That is the buzz of anxiety.
Ground yourself by identifying: 5 things you see, 4 things you can touch, 3 things you hear, 2 things you can smell, and 1 thing you can taste.
Inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, exhale for 4 seconds, and hold for 4 seconds. This physically slows down your heart rate.
Challenge the "what ifs." Ask yourself: "What evidence do I have for this?" and "What would I tell a friend in this situation?"
You don't have to carry the weight or face the noise alone. Our compassionate team is here to support your journey to peace.
